Client
Cencosud, a retail giant founded in 1960, with operations in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and the United States. Its portfolio includes supermarkets, home improvement stores, department stores, shopping centers, and financial services.
The Challenge
The digital operation faced critical barriers to compete in an increasingly dynamic market:
Any change in the e-commerce content or appearance could take days or even weeks, demanding dozens of hours from development teams.
The e-commerce platforms could not withstand periods of high demand (cyber events, special promotions), leading to service interruptions and multi-million dollar losses in digital sales.
The challenge was to create an agile, scalable, and reliable system that would allow managing content for multiple sites in different countries while guaranteeing operational continuity during high-demand events.
The solution: integrated CMS with Vtex and salesforce
A mixed team from Acid Labs (3 specialists) and Cencosud (1 internal resource) designed and implemented a regional CMS to administer content on landing and home pages:
✅ Direct integration with Vtex and Salesforce Commerce.
✅ Centralized management of content for all the company's e-commerce sites.
✅ Simplified deployment process, reducing time and dependence on technical teams.
