Client
eClass, a digital education company founded in 2004, with over 600 employees and presence in Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Paraguay. It offers online training and education services to educational institutions, companies, and individuals.
The Challenge
The eClass platform faced critical limitations in its performance:
Slow navigation within the LMS (Learning Management System), directly affecting the student experience.
Significant latency in API responses.
Inefficient architecture: the database was in a GCP availability zone, while the workloads operated in AWS → which tripled response times.
The challenge was to redesign the infrastructure to eliminate latency, optimize resources, and guarantee scalability, without interrupting services for thousands of active users.
The solution: full migration to GCP
The multidisciplinary Acid Labs team led a process of migrating workloads from AWS to GCP, resolving architectural incompatibilities:
✅ Configuration of scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
✅ Reduction of data replication complexity.
✅ Optimization of API performance and critical platform services.
Although the process required more time and effort than expected, we successfully overcame all technical obstacles and implemented a solid and reliable infrastructure.
